YubaEats Privacy Policy

YubaEats is operated by FITCHCRAFT (“YubaEats,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy describes how YubaEats works today. If we add features that change how we handle information, we will update this policy and revise the “Last Updated” date above.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and the authentication and account identifiers needed to sign you in and keep your session secure.

Food truck and business information. If you apply to list a truck or operate one on YubaEats, we collect business information such as your business name, owner or representative details, contact information, menus and prices, photos and logos, hours, locations and schedules, and information related to your application and approval status.

Activity and content. We collect the things you do on the platform, such as favorites, follows, reviews, content you submit, and your interactions with your account and platform features.

Location information. YubaEats is built around where trucks are, so some features use location:

• Truck and vendor locations and schedules that businesses provide to us.
• Precise device location only when your browser or device asks your permission and you allow it. Today this is used in a limited part of the service; if you decline, the rest of YubaEats still works.
• Approximate location that may be technically derived, such as the general area associated with an IP address.

Technical information. Like most online services, we receive technical data including IP address, browser, device and operating system information, timestamps, and error, security, and session information.

Cookies and similar technology. We use cookies and similar storage for authentication, security, preferences, and platform operation, and for analytics where applicable. Authentication cookies are necessary for signing in — disabling them will prevent the service from working properly.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create accounts and authenticate users.
• Operate, maintain, and improve YubaEats.
• Review food truck applications and publish approved listings.
• Power maps, locations, schedules, and menus.
• Provide reviews, favorites, and follows.
• Communicate with users and participating businesses, including notifications you have opted into.
• Protect the platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain security.
• Diagnose problems and troubleshoot errors.
• Comply with applicable law and protect the rights, safety, and property of YubaEats, our users, and participating businesses.

3. Information That Is Public

YubaEats is a public discovery platform. When a food truck is approved, its listing information is intended to be publicly visible, and may include:

• Truck or business name
• Logo and photos
• Menu and prices
• Description
• Business contact information
• Hours
• Locations
• Reviews

Do not put information into a public listing, a review, or other public content that you do not want to be publicly visible.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here.

Service providers. We use third-party providers to run the platform. Today these support functions such as:

• Application hosting and content delivery
• Database, authentication, file storage, and real-time infrastructure
• Maps and map rendering
• Transactional and authentication email
• Performance, analytics, error monitoring, and security
• Assistant and search features that process the text of your request

These providers may process information on our behalf in order to deliver their service to us.

Public listings. Approved business listing information is shared publicly as described in Section 3.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is required by law or legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of YubaEats, our users, or the public.

Business transfers. If YubaEats is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

5. California Privacy

Our current position is straightforward:

• YubaEats does not sell personal information for money.
• YubaEats does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• YubaEats does not currently operate a cross-site targeted advertising network.

California residents may have rights regarding personal information, including the right to know what personal information is collected, to request access or deletion, to request correction of inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Some California privacy obligations apply only to businesses that meet statutory thresholds, and we do not claim that every such obligation currently applies to YubaEats. Where applicable privacy law does apply to us, we will comply with it.

To make a privacy request, contact us at support@fitchcraft.co. We may need to verify your identity, and we may decline a request where the law permits or requires it.

Browser signals.Traditional “Do Not Track” browser signals do not have a universal standard, and YubaEats does not change essential service behavior in response to them. Where applicable law requires us to honor a specific browser or global privacy preference signal, we will handle that signal as required by law.

6. Retention

We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to keep your account working, to maintain public listings, to keep records of applications and approvals, to resolve disputes, and to meet legal, security, and recordkeeping obligations. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete it or otherwise remove its association with you.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, including access controls, row-level authorization in our database, and encrypted connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and we do not promise that information will always remain secure. Please use a secure email account and protect access to your device.

8. Your Choices

• You can review and update much of your account and listing information directly in the app.
• You can request correction or deletion of personal information by contacting us.
• You can control notification permissions through your browser or device settings.
• You can decline the device location permission and continue to use the rest of the service.

We will honor these requests subject to lawful exceptions — for example, where we must retain certain records, protect against fraud or abuse, or comply with a legal obligation.

9. Children

YubaEats is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at support@fitchcraft.co and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Third-Party Links and Businesses

YubaEats may link to third-party websites, social media profiles, or services operated by independent food trucks and other businesses. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Their own policies govern any information you provide to them.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as YubaEats evolves. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above, and we will provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
